A: Rosen Centre is the preferred hotel for AIMCAL R2R USA attendees (immediately across the street with a covered walkway to the Convention Center).

Q: What’s happening with the AIMCAL R2R USA and SPE FlexPackCon? Will we still have the event?

A: As you’ve probably heard….We’re back to in-person events! Current conditions in Orlando, FL allow full capacity events, and the show will go on! The 2021 AIMCAL R2R and SPE FlexPackCon will be hosted from October 17-21. The AIMCAL committees worked together to roll out a packed agenda and thoughtfully selected high-interest presentations while enabling the networking and knowledge sharing you expect from an AIMCAL event.

Q: I heard ICEC USA (formerly ICE USA) is at the same location as R2R USA. How will that work?

A: You have a good source. Yes, we are co-locating with ICEC USA this year to offer two shows at one location! We understand that your travel budgets are more limited this year and we partnered to offer more to each person, while allowing you to combine two trips in one. ICEC USA will be the large, trade show component at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and AIMCAL R2R USA will offer the multi-track education in rooms just steps off the trade show floor. There will be two, separate registrations for each event. All AIMCAL R2R attendees receive Free access to the ICEC USA Show.

Q: I’ve had tabletop exhibits at previous AIMCAL R2R USA Conferences. How do I schedule a tabletop?

A: With our partnership with ICEC USA this year, there was no need for tabletop exhibits. There will be a large, trade show with full exhibits. A perfect way to get back to in-person events! And even better, we will have an AIMCAL PAVILION on the trade show floor. AIMCAL members receive discounted exhibit pricing to appear alongside other AIMCAL members with a full exhibit package - with many upgrades included in one affordable price. Exhibits are scheduled directly from the ICEC USA website.

Q: Are there added Sponsorships or marketing opportunities within the AIMCAL R2R Conference?

A: Yes, we are offering several AIMCAL Sponsorship Programs that are exclusive to the R2R USA Conference area. Each offers high-exposure during the event and our top-tiers offer exclusivity for only one main sponsor. These can be scheduled on the AIMCAL.org website.

Q: Is it safe to visit Orlando and be indoors around a lot of people?

A: The health and safety of participants and volunteers is our highest priority.

We recognize that the face-to-face meetings are ideal for sharing research, ideas, and networking across the industry. At the same time, the state of Florida and City of Orlando continues to open up more every month and return to 2019 (pre-pandemic) socializing and travel levels. While we are returning to normal levels, we are still aware that more sanitizing options need to be available and are offering hand sanitizing stations throughout the conference and trade show. At this time, masks are not mandatory, but up to the individual preference to be worn or not. You can see the health and safety guidance here.

Q: Is there a hotel with a discount for AIMCAL members and AIMCAL R2R USA Attendees?

A: Yes, The Rosen Centre is the preferred hotel for AIMCAL R2R Attendees and AIMCAL members.

And you can walk right over to the Convention Center each day too! You really don’t need a car, unless you choose to drive around the area. Select number 2 for “AIMCAL R2R Attendee.” In our hotel reservation link.

Q: When will information about the format, schedule, and content be released?

A: Our current schedule can be found by clicking here.

Some highlights include a Sunday night AIMCAL reception. Fundamentals courses offered all day on Monday. Monday night evening entertainment, reception and paid dinner (New This Year!). Tuesday through Thursday – R2R Sessions from 8am-11:30am. Bernard Henry 5K run, Golf Tournament and Cornhole tournament all return this year too! Market-focused Keynotes and expert panel discussions were popular last year and return this year. Parallel technical tracks will follow with each session culminating with a live Q&A. Breaks and exhibitor “Walk The Show” sessions are added to encourage networking.

Q: I’m new to the AIMCAL R2R USA Conference. What do you recommend?

A: We’re glad you are choosing to attend this year! And if your company is a new AIMCAL member, you will receive discounted pricing too. We have a First Time Attendee Reception on Sunday night. Plus, a “Be a Mentor & Meet a Mentor” table at our Sunday night reception. And the AIMCAL Committees will have tables at the Sunday Night Reception too. We encourage you to meet with our committees to learn how you can get involved, network with others in your segment of the industry and share your expertise too.

Q: Is there a dress code for the conference?

A: Business-casual is recommended while at the AIMCAL R2R USA Conference. We know Disney World is a short drive away. And we would prefer you wear the t-shirts, shorts, flip flops and Mickey Mouse ears at the theme park and not at the AIMCAL Conference. Although, we might allow Mickey Mouse ears at our closing reception on Thursday.

Q: How do you join AIMCAL?

A: We know you and your company will enjoy all the Technical Training, Networking, Marketing and Global Research that we offer member companies. You can learn more and complete an application here.

New Member Special: If you sign up for membership before R2R USA, as a new member who was not a member in 2020, you would receive (1) Free Registration to the R2R USA Conference ($899 value).

Q: How do I register for R2R?

A: Anyone can register for the conference, open to members and non-members. AIMCAL members do receive discounts. You can register for the AIMCAL R2R USA Conference at the ICEC USA website.

Q: How do I get a booth in the AIMCAL Pavilion?

A: You can register for the AIMCAL Pavilion, discounted booth space for AIMCAL members by reserving booth space at the ICEC USA website.

Q: What does R2R mean?

A: Roll-to-Roll process.

Q: Who is ICEC USA?

A: International Converting Exhibition & Conference. Previously known as ICE USA.

Q: I see so many logos. Who is operating the show?

A: AIMCAL operates the R2R USA Educational Conference and primary conference. We have multiple industry partnerships within the R2R USA Conference to offer you more expert resources and more content throughout the conference. ICEC USA is the trade show component at the same location. SPE FlexPackCon is a partner for a track. GAA is a committee within AIMCAL named Gravure AIMCAL Alliance.
