4 Week Course from February 6 - March 3, 2022

This is an online course that will be presented as on-demand classes taken at your leisure each week (2-1/2 hour, on-demand classes each week) with 1-hour, Live Instructor Q&A every Friday with the class. Live Instructor online every Friday from 12:00pm - 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time (in Zoom meetings). Every Friday will include a public session, in which participants can present their questions for group discussion (if desired). For the final Friday of the month, participants can schedule private sessions in which individual participants can discuss their specific questions with the instructor for a 15-minute private meeting.

Dr. David Roisum

Dr. David Roisum of Finishing Technologies is a well-known authority in web handling and converting. He has authored eight books and more than 100 papers and articles such as his Web Wise column in Converting Quarterly magazine. His background includes a variety of web manufacturing and converting experiences. An accomplished professional speaker and instructor, he is noted for his skill in translating highly technical information into a common sense, practical reference.

Course Outline

Complete the on-demand classes each week between Monday and Thursday. And join other participants every Friday for a Live Q&A session with the instructor. You will receive links via email for the courses and Live Sessions a week before the class begins.

 

Web Handling Course  (Web Handling Month)

Week 1:  February 6 - 10:  Intro to Web Handling & Rollers | Feb 10: 12pm - 1pm EST - Live Instructor

Week 2:  February 13 - 17:  Tension/Drive Control, Nip Control, & Guiding | Feb 17: 12pm - 1pm EST - Live Instructor

Week 3:  February 20 - 24:  Wrinkling and Spreading | Feb 24: 12pm - 1pm EST - Live Instructor

Week 4:  February 27 - March 3:  Slitting and Winding (intro) | March 3: 11am - 1pm EST - Private 1-on-1 Meetings Scheduled

BONUS: Friday, March 3: Participants discuss their specific questions or concerns with the instructor in private, 1-on-1 meetings.

Cancellation Policy


If Registration is cancelled after Monday, February 5, 2023, Attendee forfeits their paid registration as a cancellation fee.
