The Industry News section of the AIMCAL web site is a forum for member companies to post new product, new people, plant expansions, and other news of importance to AIMCAL member companies and the converting industry.
AIMCAL News
The AIMCAL newsletter is another forum for member companies to post company news for distribution to key individuals in the industry. New products and services receive broad coverage to the industry.
AIMCAL March Management Meeting
The AIMCAL March Management Meeting draws the top executives in the converting industry and is available to member companies only. In addition to the many networking opportunities, the management meeting covers economic and market research topics of interest to top converting management.

AIMCAL Technical Committees
AIMCAL technical committees provide an excellent forum to network with other technical professionals in the industry, while providing valuable input to AIMCAL technical conferences and publications.
Technical Research
AIMCAL provides up to date research on a variety of technical subjects of importance to the converting industry. This information is available to AIMCAL members in the Members Only section of the AIMCAL web site and covers new patent filings, government procurement, academic advances and news wire articles for download by member companies.
Technical Advisory Panel
The AIMCAL Technical advisory panel is a group of respected industry consultants who provide answers to technical questions posed by member companies. These individuals have a broad range of experience covering all aspects of web coating.
Education
AIMCAL provides several forums for advancing the knowledge base of technical professionals. Summer School offers full day short courses in a variety of subject areas and member companies receive discounts for their participation. The Fall Technical conference covers all aspects of web coating, running concurrent tracks on coating/laminating and vacuum coating. Participation in the TableTop exhibits are available to member companies only.
RESEARCH
Technical
AIMCAL provides ongoing technical research to member companies. In the Members Only section of the AIMCAL web site, current research on all aspects of the converting industry is provided on an ongoing basis. Professional researchers provide new patent information, government and academic advances and news wire articles of interest to the converting industry.
Market
In addition to the secondary research of markets provided to members in the Members Only research offering, AIMCAL sponsors market studies with outside research firms to make available studies at significant discount to member companies.
Economic
In addition to the annual economic report provided at the March Management Meeting and subsequently posted to the AIMCAL web site, AIMCAL provides ongoing economic updates throughout the year. Work is now underway to develop the AIMCAL index for quarterly reporting of the industry’s economic health. The index will be up and running by 1st quarter of 2003 and will be a valued reference for AIMCAL member companies.
NETWORKING
Networking Opportunities
While networking opportunities are more difficult to quantify, AIMCAL members have reported many instances of business relationships formed through their membership in AIMCAL. Participating in AIMCAL sponsored events and committees is a proven method of expanding member companies reach to the converting industry. Active members have used their AIMCAL membership to open doors to business opportunities and long term relationships with other AIMCAL members.
