Mike Engel

Michael Engel is COO, FLEXcon, North America. He joined FLEXcon in 1982 as a lab technician and that same year was promoted to the technical services group.

In 1988 Mike became quality supervisor with responsibilities including incoming materials quality, product certification and quality analysis. In 1991 he was named systems integrity manager and was successful in leading FLEXcon to ISO 9001 certification. With the formation of market-focused business teams in 1994, he was promoted to vice president, performance products for FLEXcon, and to his current position in May of 1998. Mike is a graduate of Assumption College and The School of Industrial Management at WPI (Worcester Polytechnical Institute). He is a certified instructor of SPC and a facilitator for business reengineering. He has been married to wife Sue for twenty-five years and they have two sons, Alexander and Christopher.
